Schoolgirl Killing In Barisal
6 including killer sent to jail
The judicial magistrate court in Barisal on Monday afternoon ordered the imprisonment of the killer of a schoolgirl, his father, uncle and three aunts.
Drug addict Nayan Bala, 20, hacked to death Tania Aktar, 11, at Gouranadi upazila on Sunday.
Local people held the killer and handed him over to the police.
Alamgir Sardar, father of the murdered school girl, lodged a murder case against 12 accused including 8 named people with Gournadi police station Sunday night, said Abul Kalam, Gournadi police station in charge.
Sub Inspector Yunus, investigation officer of the case, said drug addicted killer Nayan Bala, 20, his father Amal Bala, uncle Dulal Bala and aunts Renu Bala, Puspa Bala and Subarna Bala were arrested on Sunday in connection with the murder.
Two other accused Tapash Bala and Amaresh Bala, relatives of the killer, are still at large and police are trying to arrest them, the IO of the case said.
Aktar Hossain Babul, Batajor union parishad chairman and union BNP president, said Nayan was a drug addict since long and there was no rivalry or communal feelings behind the incident.
Police have been deployed at the house of the killer and surrounding minority-populated areas, said Gournadi police station in charge.
Meanwhile, the body of the murdered school girl Tania was handed over to her maternal uncle Anwar Hossain Khalifa after autopsy at Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital Sunday evening and was laid to rest at family graveyard Sunday night after janaza.
Harisur Rahman Haris, Gournadi municipal mayor and AL leader, Aktar Hossain Babul, Batajor union parishad chairman and union BNP president, officials of police administration and local people attended the Janaza and burial.
