Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, along with heroic freedom fighter Brigadier General Shahidullah Chowdhury, ndc, Executive Director of Abul Khair Group, inaugurated the 11th Shah Cement–AKS Golf Tournament 2026 at Kurmitola Golf Club on Friday, 16 January 2026.
The three-day tournament, scheduled from 14 to 16 January 2026, is being held in a festive atmosphere. Around 700 golfers, including several foreign members of Kurmitola Golf Club, and players from other golf clubs across the country, are participating in the event.
Members of the Executive Committee and senior officials of Kurmitola Golf Club and Abul Khair Group were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held at 8:00 pm on 16 January 2026 at Kurmitola Golf Club. Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc, Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force, will attend the ceremony as the chief guest and distribute prizes among the winners. – Press release
