IBBL opens new branch at Khulna

KDA Avenue Branch of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) was inaugurated as its 232nd Branch at Khan A Sabur Road, Khulna on Sunday.
Nazrul Islam Manzu, MP, Khulna-2 inaugurated the Branch as Chief Guest while AKM Fazlur Rahman, GM, Bangladesh Bank, Khulna was present at the program as special Guest. The inauguration was presided over by Prof. Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher, Chairman, Board of Directors of IBBL. Dr. Md. ASM Toriqul Islam, Member, Shari’ah Council of IBBL and Associate Professor, Department of Dawah, Islami University, Kustia, Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Executive Vice President and Zonal Head of Khulna Zone attended the cermony.
As Chief Guest Nazrul Islam Manzu, MP in his speech said, IBBL has unveiled a new horizon through structured banking system in the Banking arena of Bangladesh. He called upon IBBL to facilitate its investment to destitute, helpless women, unemployment youths and to emphasize flourishing industrial sector. The program was also addressed by Hafizur Rahman Babu, Propritor of SB Agro Fertilizer, Professor Protap Chandra Biswas, Principal, Azam Khan Commerce College, Poet Bishnu Pado Singha, President, Kabitalap Goshti and so on.
On the occasion of inauguration of KDA Avenue Branch IBBL arranged a seminar on ‘Islamic Economics and Banking’ on Saturdayat the Zia Hall of Khulna. The seminar was addressed by IBBL Chairman, Professor Abu Nasser Mohammad Abduz Zaher as Chief Guest while AKM Fazlur Rahman, GM, Bangladesh Bank, Khulna as special Guest. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing presided over the seminnar. Md. Nurul Islam, Senior Vice President presented essay before the seminar. Dr. Md. ASM Toriqul Islam, Member, Shari’ah Council and Associate Professor, Department of Dawah, Islami University, Kustia, Professor Shahnewaz Nazimuddin, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Khulna University, Principal Moulana Mohammad Saleh, Khulna Kamil Alia Madrasha, Ahmed Ali Khan, President Khulna Press Club, Ashraful Alam, Chairman, Batiaghata Upazila Parishad, Moulana Md. Rafiqur Rahman and Moulana ASM Nazmus Saud delivered lecture on the occasion.
