The fourth and final day’s play in all three-matches of the National Cricket League opening round were washed out as Khulna made great escape against Dhaka in Rajshahi.
A defeat was on the menu for Khulna after they were reduced to 14-1 in the second innings having to chase a winning target of 390 runs at stumps on the third day. The draw means Dhaka secured four points for their huge 219-run first innings lead.
Teams shared points in their other two matches as no play was possible for two consecutive days at Jessore and Bogra.
The tournament committee of the Bangladesh Cricket
Board postponed the second round for an indefinite period after continuous rain over the last two days has left venues in disarray.
