Bangladesh survived another injury scare after wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim suffered a minor injury during the practice session on Saturday.
Mushfique picked up the injury while batting in the net, due to misunderstanding between him and the trainer, who was releasing the balls from the bowling machine. The ball struck his right shoulder when attempting a pull shot.
Mushfique was quickly taken to the medical room at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium by physio Michael Henry. Later, the wicketkeeper said the injury was not that serious and he was treated with ice.
The Tigers will definitely not want any further injury to players as Tamim Iqbal, Mashrafee bin Murtaza, Imrul Kayes and Mohammad Ashraful have yet to regain their full fitness.
