A 25-year-old student of the Government Bangla College at Mirpur was killed as train hit him in the Kuril-Bishwa Road level crossing in Dhaka on Thursday, the police said.
The victim, Billal Hossain, of Bhola, was a first-year student of mathematics and had lived in Gazipur.
The police said a train had hit Billal in the crossing about 2:00pm. He was critically injured. He was sent to Combined Military Hospital and was later moved to Dhaka Medical College Hospital about 4:30pm where he died about 7:30pm, hospital sources said.
