A three-day screening of the film, Runway, of Tareque Masud begins in Sylhet today.
Two cultural organisations — Shrutichitra and Prantik Parshad — in association with Chokh Film Society and Moviana Film Society, have taken the initiative to show the film along with Narasundar, a movie based on the story of War of Independence, at the district auditorium in the city’s Rikabibazar.
The organisers during an exchange of views with local journalists in the conference room of a city hotel Wednesday afternoon said the two films would be screened in three shows on Thursday and four shows on Friday and Saturday.
Addressing the programme, Tareque Masud said creative initiative was needed to patronise the films that are being made going out of the commercial trend.
