A 25-year-old man committed suicide in the Rajshahi city Thursday night.
He hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his bedroom, the police said.
The diseased was identified as Kausar Ali Pintu, resident of Sagorpara in the city.
Neighbours said Kausar married a girl of Comilla four days ago in Dhaka without taking the opinion of the members of his family.
As his family did not accept the marriage, Kausar hanged himself in his room at around 8:00pm on Thursday.
Family members took the body to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital but the on-duty physicians pronounced him dead.
The body was taken to the RMCH morgue.
Officer-in-charge of Rajpara police station told New Age that an unnatural death case was filed.
