The Dhaka Bank 23rd Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Championship begins tomorrow at Ramna National Tennis Complex in the city.
A total of 159 tennis players, including 52 girls, from Europe and Asian countries are taking part in the competition, organized by Bangladesh Tennis Fede-ration (BTF) with the sponsorship of Dhaka Bank Limited. The total budget of the competition is Taka eight lakh, of which Dhaka Bank is providing Taka five lakh as sponsorship money, the General Secretary of BTF Sanaul Haque told a news conference at Ramna National Tennis Complex on Thursday.
The Dhaka Bank 23rd Bangladesh International Junior Tennis Champion-ship gives the Bangladesh tennis players an opportunity to show their prowess at the international level and enhance their rankings, the General Secretary added.
BTF President AMM Nasiruddin, the Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Mohammad Abu Musa also spoke at the conference.
The competition will conclude with the finals on February 20.
