Channel i will be airing films based on Tagore’s works every Saturday this May as part of the 150 years birth anniversary celebrations of Rabindranath Tagore. On the coming Saturday Channel i will telecast the feature film Shasti. Directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam the film features Riaz, Purnima, Ilias Kanchon, Champa, Shahidul Alam Shachchu, Ahmed Sharif, A T M Samsujjaman in different roles. Other films which will be aired on Channel i are Abujh Bou which is based on the story of Tagore’s Shamaptti. On the forth Saturday channel i will telecast the movie Kabuliwala. The movie features late actor Manna. The films are productions of Impress Telefilm Ltd.
