Locally produced laptop computers at affordable price will hit the market this month, officials of Telephone Shilpa Sangstha, the manufacturer of the laptops said.
Telecoms Minister Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju on Thursday said in parliament that low cost laptops produced by TSS would be formally launched by the prime minister later this month.

Novo Theatre, the primary model of Doyel brand laptops was displayed.
Attendants at the TSS stall said this model has 10.1 inch screen, Intel Atom N455.66 GHZ processor, one GB DDR3 Ram and 250 GB hard disk. It would cost Tk 12,000 to 14,000.
They said three other models of the brand, basic, standard and advanced, were waiting for the final touch to be completed. The advanced model would cost about Tk 25,000.
Some 31 ministries and 11 private organisations are taking part at the digital fair having 133 stalls to show different e-services.
Information on services like—e-book, online registration at class IX and XII, Dhaka city’s map by global positioning system, three dimensional elevation map, information of ground level water, online WARPO card, interactive website, bill payment system, smart card, postal cash card, and electronic voting machine were being displayed at the fair.
The fair has been extended for today because of BNP called 48-hour strike and bad weather.
It would be open for visitors from 10am to 6pm today.
