Model Farha Ruma has been very busy before the upcoming Eid as she has recently made her debut as an actress on big screen through the film Putro Ekhon Poisawala.
As an artiste, Farha Ruma has been equally successful in modelling and acting. She won the Lux Anondodhara Photoshundori in 1997.
In the late 1990’s, Farah began walking the ramps to become one of the top models in the country. And in her long journey, she met many renowned personalities like Bibi Russel. Farah has also proved her talent as an anchor.
Farha’s first TV drama Shankho with noted actor Afzal Hossain brought her critical acclaim. Moreover, her performance in the play Shubho Drishti, probably her second drama, was mindblowing.
Farah likes to act in the drama based on the novels of Rabindranath Tagore, especially the women centric ones.
In a conversation with daily sun recently, Farah talked about her busy schedule before Eid, her likes and dislikes, etc.
About her current works, Farah said, “I had to travel abroad for a long time for the Dhallywood show. Upon my arrival in Dhaka, I got busy with the shooting of my debut film for about a fortnight. So, I hardly get enough time to act in a good number of Eid dramas. In spite of that, I have been working on a few Eid dramas. Some of them are Kaiser Ahmed’s Last Wanted, Raju’s telefilm Apaharan which will be telecast on Eid day on Maasranga Television and Mohammad Noman’s Nolok on Rtv.”
“But I am not working on any TVC right now,” she added.
About her debut film Putro Ekhon Poisawala, Farah said, “It is a film based on the relationship between a mother and her son. I think the film will be able to deliver an important message to the audience. Despite being a commercial film, it is a film to watch along with the whole family.”
“Omar Ayaz Oni is my co-artiste in this film which is being directed by Nargis Akhter,” Farha added.
