CID, SB, DMP chiefs changed

In a major reshuffle in the police administration, the government has transferred 54 senior level officers and made three others officers-on-special duty.
The transfer officials include commissioner and additional commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police and chiefs of Special Branch and the Criminal Investigation Department. Two separate circulars in this regard were issued by the ministry of home affairs on Saturday.
The DMP commissioner, Naim Ahmed, was made rector of the Police Staff College, Dhaka.
AKM Shahidul Haque, deputy inspector general of the Chittagong range, was made DMP commissioner (acting). The DMP additional commissioner Abdus Salam was made acting deputy inspector general at the police headquarters while acting DIG of Sylhet range Abul Kashem was DMP additional commissioner.
Acting CID chief Jabed Patwary was made acting chief of the Special Branch and he replaces Baharul Alam who was made acting additional inspector general at the police headquarters.
Syed Shahjaman Raj was made acting CID chief while Sadiqur Rahman of the Armed Police Battalion was made the DIG of Railway range.
The Dhaka range DIG, Amir Uddin, was transferred to the police headquarters as DIG and he is replaced by acting DIG Mokhlesur Rahman of the police headquarters.
The acting DIG of Railway, Sheikh Hemayet Hosain Miah, was given the charge of DIG (acting) of the Khulna range.
Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, acting DIG at the police headquarters, was given the charge of DIG (acting) of the Sylhet range while additional DIG of Khulna Asaduzzaman Miah was given the charge of DIG (acting) of the Chittagong range.
The acting additional commissioner of the Khulna Metropolitan Police, Abdur Rahim, was made acting additional commissioner of the Barisal Metropolitan Police.
DMP deputy commissioner Abdullahel Baqui was made commandant of the Range Reserve Force of Rajshahi while DC of the DMP Saleh Mohammad Tanvir was made SP of Rangpur.
Nilphamari superintendent of police Monirul Islam was transferred to the DMP as DC, Golam Kibria of the KMP was made SP of Sunamganj while SP of Kushtia Mosleh Uddin Ahmed was made DC of the DMP.
SP of Natore Chowdhury Manjurul Kabir was transferred to the DMP as DC, SP of Barisal Toufiq Mahbub Chowdhury was made DC of the DMP while SP of Patuakhali Ashrafur Rahman was made Commandant of RRF of Rajshahi.
SP of Munshiganj Biswas Afzal Hossain was transferred to Narayanganj as SP, M Khurshid Hossain, returned from the UN mission in Kosovo, was made SP of Madaripur, special SP of SB Dhaka city Golam Rasul was made SP of Nilphamari while SP of Dhaka Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan was made commandant of PSTS, Betbunia in Rangamati and he is replaced by SP of Jessore Iqbal Bahar.
DC of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Mokhlesur Rahman was made SP of Brahmanbaria, Commandant of fifth APBn of Barbunia in Rangamati Mizanur Rahman was made SP of Tangail, DC of DMP Didar Ahmed was posted to Jessore as SP, SM Mahfuzul Haque Nuruzzaman, SP of Chapainawabganj, was made SP of Kushtia, SP of Sunamganj Shafiqul Islam was transferred to Comilla as SP while DC of DMP Mahbubar Rahman was made SP of Barisal.
SP of Chittagong Kamrul Ahsan was made SSP of SB replacing ZA Morshed who was posted to Chittagong as SP, Tangail SP Abdul Mannan was made Commandant of RRF of Sylhet, SP of Faridpur Kusum Dewan was posted to CMP as DC, SM Rokan Uddin, PSTS commandant, was made commander of second APBn of Chittagong while commandant of RRF of Chittagong Shaibal Kanti Chowdhury was made SP of Patuakhali.
Assistant inspector general Shafiqul Islam was posted to Munshiganj as SP, Narayanganj SP Sarder Nurul Amin was transferred to RMP as DC, Magura SP Ali Hossain Fakir was made commander of fifth APBn in Barbunia of Rangmati while DC of DMP Mainul Hasan was made commander of tenth APBn of Sylhet.
DC of DMP Mazharul Islma was made SSP of SB, Moulvibazar SP Zillur Rahman was transferred to police staff college while SP of Rajshahi Shahabuddin Khan was made commandant of RRF in Barisal.
AIG AFM Masum Rabbani was made SP of Rajshahi while acting commander of tenth APBn Nazrul Hosssain was made acting SP of Chapainawabganj and additional DC of DMP Habibur Rahman was made acting DC of DMP.
DC of DMP Ahsan Habib Polash was sent to SMP as DC, Siddiqur Rahman, returned from UN mission in Liberia, was made AIG at the police headquarters.
Besides, the officers who were made OSD were DC of DMP Kazi Mohamamd Fazlul Karim, SSP of CID Obaidur Rahman and DC of CMP Mahmudur Rahman.
