Renowned actor Pijush Bandyopadhyay has been selected as the new Managing Director (MD) of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
Confirming the news, Pijush said, “I got the letter. BFDC is something a place, which is going to be a new experience for me. However, I would like to work with everyone and take the film industry of our country forward.”
The appointment of Pijush Bandyopadhyay comes after M Hamid, the previous Director of the BFDC, was appointed new Director General of the state owned Bangladesh Television (BTV).
Following the appointment of Pijush who is a seasoned actor himself one can hope that he will be able to contribute a lot to the development of the country’s film industry.
