First Bangladeshi campus-based, 30-minute length movie “Converted” is going to be made with the direction and script written by Ziaul Zia. This movie will be screened at 20 universities in the country.
The story of the movie is about an old town boy named John, who converted him self to Junnurain for his love and how he fails to get his love.
The actors who will be seen in the movie are: Monty Khan, Sharmin Sharu, Sohel Islam, Dipanweeta, Tanzir Ahmed Tomo, Khondokar Enamul Haque, Md Asif Hossain, Swapnil Chowdhury, Jabed Hossain Shawon, Shishir Khan, Parvin Jahan and KM Ujjal Miya.
Regarding the movie Ziaur Zia told this correspondent, “Though our universities have film clubs or film societies, but their activities are seen only once a year. But the main aim of this societies were film making. We would be able to discover may talented artistes if the activities were done properly. Students from different universities have acted in the movie “Converted”. I hope everyone will love their work and I also hope this movie will start the race of campus oriented movies in Bangladesh”.
