This year’s minimum Fitra has been fixed at Tk 55 per head while Tk 1500 at the highest.
A meeting on ‘Sadkatul Fitr’ held at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation on Thursday fixed the fitra as per the present market price of 1.650 kg of wheat or ata (flour).
Chaired by Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Prof Maulana Mohammad Salah Uddin, the meeting was attended, among others, by former District and Sessions Judge M Ismail Miah, Islamic Foundation Director M Sirajul Haque, Dr Abdullah Al Maruf, Dr Maulana M Abu Saleh Patwari, Mufti M Abdullah and Pesh Imam of the National Mosque Mufti Muhibullahil Baki Nadvi.
