Popular lyricist and composer Prince Mahmud is coming up with a mixed album titled Oporajita featuring leading solo singers of the country targeting the upcoming Eid.
Nine songs of the album have been recorded by singers like Bappa Mazumder, Nancy, Tahsan, Topu, Mahdi, Elita, Polash, Ehsan Rahi and Parvez.
‘It’s a huge project since I have featured leading solo singers. Hopefully listeners will like all the songs of the album,’ Prince Mahmud told New Age.
All the songs of Oporajita have been written and composed by Prince Mahmud. Most of the songs fall in soft melody category while a few others are soft-rock numbers, Mahmud said.
According to Prince Mahmud, Oporajita is his first work with a few of the artistes. ‘I had put a lot of efforts to complete the album,’ said Mahmud, who became popular in the music industry by bringing so many mixed albums featuring the leading rockers in the mid 1990s.
‘Both soft-melody and soft-rock genres are favourite to the youngsters these days, which influenced me to compose such music for the album,’ Mahmud said. ‘It will be an additional enjoyment in the Eid festivity.’
Prince Mahmud claims that songs of the album like ‘Kar kachhe jai,’ ‘Amake diye kicchu hobe na,’ ‘Bhubon danar hashi’ and ‘Pencil er prithibi’ are unique like their titles.
‘Duet songs by Nancy and Topu, and Elita and Mahdi will be a treat for the listeners,’ he hoped.
Different types of instruments such as violin, sitar, flute, guitar, drums keys and others have been used in the album.
Oporajita has been produced by G-series.
