Dhaka University yesterday suspended two students for two years each on charges of harassing four female students on the campus.
The two, both master’s students, are Md Habibullah Belali of Institute of Education and Research and Imdadul Islam of management department.
The university authorities took the punitive action after the duo were found guilty of harassing their fellows, DU Proctor (in-charge) Prof MA Ali told The Daily Star.
On Friday afternoon, Belali and Imdadul teased the females while taking tea in front of TSC.
Facing protests, the two poured hot tea on the girls’ clothes.
Shortly afterwards, a proctorial team caught them red-handed.
