Bangladesh’s premier golfer Siddikur Rahman ended his Ballantine Championship campaign in joint 26th place after the conclusion of the fourth and final round’s play
at the Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon on Sunday.
Siddik struck one-under-par 71 in the final round to finish with an overall 285.
The 28-year-old golfer began the 2,205,000-euro event with a two-over-par 74 in the first round followed by three-under-par 69 in the second round and one-under-par 71 in the third and penultimate round to finish joint 26th along with four other competitors.
Siddik won 20,948 euros in the sixth edition of the championship which was eventually won by 36-year-old Australian golfer, Brett Rumford.
Rumford blazed an overall 277, including a four-under-par 68 in the final round to win 367, 500 euros in prize money. By virtue of this victory, Rumford received invitation to three tournaments – the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational, the 2013 HSBC Championship and the 2014 Volvo Golf Championship.
