Inspirational Tagore songs were presented by different cultural organisations on Friday at the Chhayanaut Auditorium.
It was the concluding day programme of the two-day Tagore’s birth anniversary celebrations programme organised by Chhayanaut.
The show began with a chorus presentation of Tagore’s song upholding hope titled Ami bhoy korbo na bhoy korbo na by the students of Nalanda.The audience was boosted at the spirit of the inspirational songs Bajerey tomar baaje banshi and Kharo bayu boy begey rendered by the Chhayanaut artistes in chorus.
Chhyanaut artistes also staged a colouful dance synchronised with another motivational song titled Chalo jai chalo jai.
The programme also featured solo presentations.
Sattyen Kumar Devnath moved the audience presenting inspirational song Pinakete laage tonkar.
Aditi Mohsin rendered Ami maarer sagor pari dibo in her clam yet melodious voice. Audience also enjoyed Pratho Pratim Roy’s presentation of Keno jaago na jaago na and Fahim Hossain Chowdhury’s rendition of Keno cheye achho go ma.
Seasoned singers Iffat Ara Dewan and Anup Bhattacharia were the other attractions of the evening.
Those who attended the programmes on the both of the days enjoyed the second day’s event more. ‘I attended all through the festival but enjoyed inspirational songs presented on the second day,’ Nabin Ahmed said.
