Police arrested four suspected carjackers and recovered 10 CNG-run auto-rickshaws from different parts in the capital and its outskirts Keraniganj.
A team of Kafrul thana police conducted simultaneous drives in city’s Shewrapara, Postagola and Keraniganj from Sunday night to Monday evening and arrested four suspected members of a car lifting gang.
They are Rahim, 40, Sumon, 38, Shahjahan, 55, and Raju, 35. Police recovered 10 stolen CNG-run auto rickshaws from their possessions.
Officer-in-charge of Kafrul police station Kazi Wazed said on tip-off they started the drive at 9:30pm on Sunday and continued it till 7:00pm on Monday.
