Renowned singer Khairul Anam Shakil moved the audience presenting Nazrul songs from his latest album on Friday at the
Bengal Shilpalaya in Dhanmondi.
His seventh solo Benuka was launched at the
programme by Nazrul exponent Sudhin Das.
Shakil presented six out of 12 songs of the album.
The musical programme began with presentation of a lyrical ballad composed by Kazi Narul Islam titled Tomar akhir moto akasher duti taara. The audience enjoyed the presentation of the song performed in Shakil’s soothing melodious voice.
A well trained classical singer Shakil gave a mindblowing performance of Nazrul song Bosia bijoney keno eka.
In between the songs, Shakil also talked about his own performance of Nazrul Sangeet. Before rendering Or nishith somadhi bhangiyona, Shakil said that it was one of the most difficult song composed by the national poet, which was really really difficult to manage.
But, the skilled singer could manage the song quite easily and entertained the houseful audience with his powerful presentation.
The audience also enjoyed some other Nazrul songs rendered by Shakil such as Musafir mochhre akhi jal, Nilambori sari porey nil jomunai and Bolona bolona olo soi and Benuka oke bajay mohua boney.
