Europe Youth claimed a convincing victory of 111-64 points over Flame Boys in the day’s first match of the Citycell Premier Division Basketball League at
the Dhanmondi Basketball Gymnasium on Saturday.
Europe Youth were leading 55-32 in the first half. Their US-based players, Eves and James, were the highest scorers for their side with 30 points each. Habib and Jinnah netted 16 and 11 points respectively for Flame Boys.
Meanwhile, Europe Youth had clinched a victory by 111-52 points against Rangers in the late game on Friday night. Europe Youth were ahead by 63-23 points at half-time.
James again was the highest point-getter for his side with 19 points while Akash garnered 15 points. For the losing side, Nahid scored highest 22 points.
In the other late game on Friday night, Old DOHS secured a close win against Bakshibazar by 72-64 points. DOHS were leading 27-24 after the first half. Asif and Ashrafi notched the highest points for DOHS with 14 and 11 respectively, while Debu and Tanvir bagged 12 points each for Bakshibazar.
