Former President and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Mohammad Ershad had a meeting on Tuesday night at a Gulshan house with Anwar Hossain Manju, who leads a faction of the Jatiya Party. Sources close to them said, both the leaders had discussed merger of their factions. However,
details about their meeting was not immediately available.When contacted Anwar Hossain Manju said on Wednesday it was a social visit. There was nothing wrong about visiting his old chief.
Anwar Hossain Manju had been Communication minister and an influential founding leader of the JP when Ershad was in power in the eighties.
