Transactions in banks and trading on stock exchanges will remain closed today
because of year-end closure of financial statements
Banks will remain open for their staff to facilitate calculation of their accounts for the financial year 2012-2013 which ended on Sunday but no transaction will be taken place, said a Bangladesh Bank official.
The Dhaka Stock Exchnage and the Chittaging Stock Exchange on Sunday announced that the trading on the bourses would remain suspended today because of the closure of bank transactions.
