Bollywood actors with flourishing careers have often taken a long hiatus. Here are some names that have made a comeback in the industry or created a buzz with the announcement of their upcoming projects,

Sridevi’s first film after a hiatus of 15 years, English Vinglish (2012), not only received critical acclaim but also enjoyed commercial success. The audience loved her portrayal of the English-challenged housewife and made her comeback an incredible one. She will Englishbe seen in Boney Kapoor’s Mr India sequel and another unannounced film.
Ever since Madhuri returned from the US, she has been busy picking projects. Be it judging a television dance reality show, doing item numbers with much younger actors such as Ranbir Kapoor or even signing films, Madhuri is everywhere. Her next films include Dedh Ishqiya and Gulab Gang.
After the huge success of Agneepath (2011), Rishi Kapoor has become one of the busiest actors in B-town. After having two releases in 2013, including Chashme Baddoor and Aurangzeb, he will be seen in upcoming releases such as D-Day, Besharam and Shuddh Desi Romance. Danny Denzongpa’s last few hits came more than a decade ago, namely Ghatak (1996) and Pukar (2000). But now, one of the most famous Bollywood villains of all time has created buzz with the announcement of three big films, including the Akshay Kumar-starrer Boss, Mental with Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang.
Sunny Deol’s Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 has brought him back into the limelight. The actor’s next releases include Singh Sahab The Great, I Love New Year and Bhaiyyaji Superhitt. He will also start working on a tribute film to Dharmendra which will be directed by Sangeeth Sivan.
Although many of his films have been put on the backburner, Govinda is making news for his negative role in Kill Dil. He will also be seen in the Thuppaki remake.
Life Of Pi (2012) seems to have given Tabu a new lease of life. Though her last release, David, did not bring the desired results, she will be in the spotlight for her role in the Salman Khan starrer Mental and Sharmaji Ka Atom Bomb. Jackie Shroff has been bagging several character roles lately. After being a part of 2013 films Shootout At Wadala and Aurangzeb, he will be next seen in Kochadaiyaan and Dhoom: 3.
