Noted silver screen actor Champa these days
in busy with her small screen projects.
‘I have just completed shooting for a telefilm titled Attopar Bhalobasa, scripted by Muztaba Soud and directed by
Tanmoy Tansen,’ Champa told New Age.
The romantic telefilm also stars Shahiduzzaman Selim, Swagota amongst others. The telefilm is scheduled to be screened during the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr festival on a private television channel. ‘I am selective regarding the dramas I act in. I really liked the script of Attorpar Bhalobasha after reading it. The storyline is so touching that I felt compelled to work in it,’ added the artiste.
The artiste also informed that she is currently working in Second Innings, a drama series directed by Idris Haider and currently being aired every Monday and Tuesday on Asian TV.
Though originally a film actress, Champa wants a change and that is why she is working more for the small screen. ‘I have already worked in about 300 films, which is a huge number. I think I have done enough films and now it is time for me to concentrate on television,’ shared the endowed artiste.
However the artiste added that she is still open to work in films if it has a powerful storyline. ‘My fans will watch me on an upcoming big budget action film Most Welcome 2. The film is currently being shot,’ revealed Champa.
Directed jointly by Ananya Mahmud and Ananto Jalil, the film will also star the latter as an actor as well as Barsha, along with highly popular Bollywood actor Bipasha Basu and Jackie Shroff.
