Promising groove metal band Minerva’s debut music album was launched at the production house Incursion Music’s office in
Bangla Motor, Dhaka on Friday.
The album titled Biday Shongbidhan, produced by Incursion Music, features eight songs including God of war, Jatra, Blood of Italia, and Sangbidhaner biday. According to the band members, with the title they want to say goodbye to the shackles of rules and regulations that the youth wants to break free from.
The band experiments with heavy instrumental and thrash metal. The songs had been written, composed and jammed at different times since the band began its journey in February 2009. But they have been recorded over the past one and half years.
The band has already performed in more than a hundred live concerts over the past few years.
The current band line-up includes Ishtiak Tanvir Ishmi on vocals, Sultan Rafsan Khan and Injamamul Haque Galib on guitars, Nayeel Risat on bass, Tawfiq Ahmed Bijoy on drums, and Shohan Al Masud is the band manager. In 2011, it became the winner of the Incursion Battle of the Bands, where Rafsan got the best guitarist award and Bijoy won the title for the best drummer award.
