A battalion commander-level flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was held in Damurhuda upazila on Wednesday.
The meeting, convened following Sunday’s chase and counter chase between BGB members and Indian smugglers, was held near sub-pillar-3 of main pillar-73 of Munshipur border. Meherpur Mujibnagar Company Commander Rustam Ali and Munshipur Camp Commander Nayeb Subedar Shafiqul Alam led the BGB team while Mohakhola Company Commander of Nadia District Inspector Birandra Kumar led the BSF team.
Chuadanga-6 Deputy Commander Major Mehedi Hasan said the BGB team strongly condemned the acts of the Indian smugglers.
