A housewife was hacked to death by her husband at village
Painadi of Shiddhirganj in Narayanganj early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Lata Begum Anna, 25, daughter
of Kuti Mia and wife of Ashraful Islam Sagor.She was a garment worker at Shiddhirganj.
Police, quoting deceased’s daughter Rita’s statement, said Sagor sent her daughter to a restaurant to buy breakfast.
After returning, Rita found her mother’s blood strained body lying on the floor with stab injuries.
Rita also added that her father tortured her mother Thursday night following an altercation.
Informed, police recovered the body from the spot while husband Sagor went into hiding.
