A brilliant century by opener Suktara Rahman guided Dhaka Mohammedan SC to reach the final of the 5th Women’s Club Cup Cricket eliminating Dipali Jubo Sangha by 213 runs
in the semi-final at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Mohammedan SC posted 275 for 5 in stipulated 40 overs.
Opener Suktara Rahman hammered 107 runs off 89 balls with 11 fours and four six to be adjudged player of the match. Captain Salma Khatun scored 67-ball 78 runs with nine fours.
Lower order Sharmin Sultana (22 no), Roshni (22 no), one down Rumana Ahmed (18), and Sathira Zakir (12) were the other major contributors for Mohammedan SC.
Hena Akhter grabbed three wickets for 53 runs while Nigar Sultana took two for 56 runs.
In reply, Dipali Jubo Sangha were dismissed cheaply for 62 runs in 36.2 overs with lower order Nigar Sultana making team’s highest 16 runs and opener Hena Akhter scoring 10 runs.
Sathira Zakir caused the major damage to Dipali JS innings claiming five wickets for 16 runs in 7.2 overs with a maiden while Rumana Ahmed picked up four wickets for 8 runs in her eight over spell that included four maidens.
