Alam Ara Minu is a familiar name in the country’s music arena for more than two decades. Her passionate and trained
voice has been well-received by music lovers.
The singer is currently working on her 15th solo album titled Bondhu hoye jabo. There will be romantic numbers like Haat bariye dako jodi bondhu hoye jabo, Kichuta bhalobasi mukher kothay, O meghre ek bela na uthe tumi bondhur bari jao.
‘Lyrics of the songs for the album have been authored by Nazir Mahmud, Belal Khan and Rajib. The songs have been composed by Bakiul Alam, Monwar Hossain Tutul and Jibon,’ Minu said.
‘The songs of this album are quite different from the ones in my previous albums. I hope people will like the new album,’ Minu adds saying, ‘Laser Vision is going to release the album.’
One of the songs of the album has been aired on Channel 24.
The album was scheduled to be released during the last Pahela Boishakh. But due to countrywide political unrest, Minu could not complete recording for the album that is now expected to be released in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival.
She began her music career at a very early age. She took lessons from music teachers like Rakhal Nandi and Sanjit Kumar Dey. She has been enlisted as a singer of Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television since 1990.
Alam Ara Minu is much famous for her modern and playback numbers. So far she has 14 solo, around 20 duet albums and almost 40 mixed albums to her credit.
Folk songs like Sona bondhe, Baula ke banoilore and others in her voice have also received pretty good recognition.
