The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, to be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, will be officially launched today simultaneously in Melbourne and Wellington through the unveiling of groups, stadiums and fixtures.
The inauguration ceremony will begin at 6:00am Bangladesh time and cable sports network Star Sports will telecast the programme live.
ICC vice-president Mustafa Kamal and ICC chief executive Dave Richardson will be present among other senior officials at Central Pier, Melbourne while ICC president Alan Isaac will attend the event’s launching ceremony at Corner Taranaki Street, Wellington.
A total of 49 matches will be played over 44 days in the 11th edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup. Co-hosts Australia and New Zealand are organising the showpiece event for the second time after 1992.
