A Chinese national died at Abul Khair Steel Mills at Shitakunda in Chittagong when a clamp
fell on him on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Chan Chiyen Joe, 42. He was working for the MCC-19, a China company which got the contract to build factory in the area.Imrul Kader Bhuiyan, manager administration of the steel mills, said that Joe fell victim of the accident when a sheet of iron came down on him while he was working in the factory, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he added.
