The Bangladesh national hockey team registered a 3-1 win over Chinese Taipei in their last practice match on Friday ahead of the Asia Cup in Malaysia, which starts today.
Pushkor Khisa Mimo scored two goals, while Krishna Kumar also scored for the national team.
National team coach Naveed Alam was satisfied with his side’s performance in response to their 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Pakistan on Thursday.
‘There was good teamwork, and the boys played much better than the first practice match against Pakistan. I am happy with their performance, though they could still only execute fifty percent of the instructions I had given to them before the first match,’ Naveed said via facebook after the match.
Bangladesh will play their first group match against favourites South Korea on Sunday.
