At least three farmers were killed and six others injured as lightning hit them in four villages of Lalmonirhat on Wednesday. All of them were working at their paddy field during the incident.
The deceased were identified as Sahidar Rahman, 44, of village Kalmati in Lalmonirhat sadar, Rahmat Ali, 52, and Moksed Ali, 48, of village Masaner Deghee of Aditmari upazila. The injured were from village Vadai under Kaliganj upazila.
