The International quality ice cream brand Bellissimo organised the exhibition titled ‘Artist S.M. Sultan through your eyes’ in celebrating the 89th Birth Anniversary of the artist which was on August 10. The exhibition featured winning entries of nationwide art competition for children arranged by the art organisation Charuputhi. The children depicted the life and works of Sultan along with beautiful natural sceneries.
The press release also added that renowned novelist and also a Sultan exponent Hasnat Abdul Hai was present as the chief guest on the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition on August 30. The CEO of Kazi Food Industries Tanvir Haider Chowdhury, art critic Moinuddin Khaled and SM Sultan’s foster child Nehar Bala Shah were also present as special guests at the event.
Hasnat Abdul Hai, in his opening speech, said that SM Sultan had a child like mind, and he always used to enjoy the company of children. ‘The creativity of children not only amused him, but also inspired him. He spent his entire life in the development of the child’s mind which he believed was much more valuable than even his largest art piece. His legacy is his promise and responsibility towards children,’ added Hai.
