Communications minister Obaidul Quader on Friday directed the authorities concerned to serve a show-cause notice to the Chittagong Roads and Highways executive engineer Rana Priyo Barua for his ‘negligence’ of duty.
The communications minister made the directive while visiting the expansion work on Oxygen-Hathazari road in the morning due to the slow work on the project involving Tk 32 crore.
Issuing a note of warning against the contactors for irregularities, Obaidul Quader said those who would be found guilty would be blacklisted.
The communications minister also said prime minister Sheikh Hasina would lay the foundation stone of the much-awaited Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project, popularly known as Metro Rail Project in the city’s Uttara soon.
