Bangla Academy donated 250 books to Shaheed Rafique Memorial Museum and Library. The director general of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan formally handed over the books at a function on the library premises at Paril under Singair Upazila in Manikganj on Friday.
Tobarak Hossain Ludu, president of Amar Ekushey Parishad, presided over the book handover function where the writer and poet Syed Samsul Haque, Anwara Syed Haque, district administrator Golam Mohiuddin, and others were also present.
Later, a cultural programme was held and a documentary on the war of independence was screened.
