Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman barely made the cut at the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship at the Linkou International Golf and Country Club on Friday, carding a second round 73 to finish the day at four-over. Siddik’s tournament seemed to be in jeopardy early on as he followed his opening round 75 with four bogies and a birdie on the front nine, leaving him at +6 – two strokes off the eventual cut – halfway through his second round.
After a birdie on the par-5 10th, Siddik was just one stroke off the cut, where he remained until a crucial
birdie on the final hole, which he had bogied the day before, got him across the line and into the weekend.
Siddik is in a tie for 65th place, 12 strokes behind tournament leader Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand, who followed up his first round 69 with a 67 on Friday to sit at eight-under-par.
