Cultural organisation Geetanjali Lalitkala Academy celebrated the ninth founding anniversary of the organisation arranging a two-day programme at the Khudra O Kutir Shilpa Proshikkhan Institute auditorium in Uttara.
The concluding day ceremony included art competition, theatre staging, and music and dance presentation on Saturday evening.
On the opening day, Geetanjali Padak was bestowed on the three eminent personalities: educationist professor emeritus Serajul Islam Choudhury, rights activist Sultana Kamal and cultural activist MA Aowal.
Presided over by professor emeritus Rafiqul Islam, professor emeritus Anisuzzaman discussed the achievements and contributions of this year’s award receivers.
A colourful cultural programme followed the award-giving session on Friday.
