In an oblique reference to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the main opposition BNP has said no good result will be brought by making baseless and motivated statements against the nationalist party. “Premier Sheikh Hasina used to make baseless remarks against BNP. Now her elder son Joy has joined his mother to strengthen the motivated campaign to gain their evil interest ahead of the upcoming general election,” BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said.
Rizvi also office secretary of BNP was addressing a press briefing held at the party’s Naya Paltan central office in the capital on Monday.
“Paper-balloon of falsehood is being blown up against BNP when the country is passing through a tense situation ahead of the next general election,” he added.
Joy’s wrong conception against BNP politics has gone beyond the tolerance capacity of people as well as the nationalist party men, he said.
Confidence level of the ruling Awami League has started to decrease and cracks have started appearing in the ruling party camp. No result will be achieved by deploying a new player like Joy, he added.
Rizvi alleged that a vested quarter was engaged in hatching conspiracy to gain political profit blaming BNP for supporting those who committed crimes against humanity during the country’s liberation war in 1971.
There is no difference between Sajeeb Wazed Joy and others leaders of the ruling Awami League, he said.
Joy is speaking in the same manner which the other leaders of the party follow. People don’t expect this from him, Rizvi said.
Local and international level conspiracy is being hatched against BNP in a bid to mislead people ahead of the next general election, Rizvi alleged.
