Two people were killed in separate incidents of lightning strike in Nazirpur and Zianagar upazilas of the district on Monday night. Witnesses said lightning struck Razib Hawladar, 17, when he went out of his house amid rain at Penakhali village in the upazila on Monday night. In another incident, Kohinur Begum, 30, wife of Hemayet of Hoglabunia village in Zianagar upazila ,died as a thunderbolt struck him when she was going to the kitchen at night.
