Police on Wednesday recovered the bodies of two youths while another person was killed in a traffic accident in the capital. The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam, 22, son of Amzad Hossain of 196, Pachim Rampura, Kamrul Hasan Forhad, 24, son of Abu Bakar Siddique of 88, Purba Goran of Khilgaon, and Shohel Talukder, 28, a transport worker and son of Nuru Talukder of Gavindapur in Madaripur.
The police on Wednesday recovered the body of Shahidul Islam hanging from a tree at Ulan of Pachim Rampura at 11:00am.
Mojammel Haque, subinspector of Rampura police station, said the police, being informed by family, recovered Shahidul’s body hanging from a tree with a sari near at Ulan of Pachim Rampura.
Shahidul’s brother Shafiqul Islam said he went out of house Tuesday noon and did not return.
Local spotted the body on Wednesday morning and informed them that his brother’s body was hanging from a tree.
Quoting family, police said Shahidul was an addict. An unnatural death case was filed.
Police early Wednesday recovered the body of another youth named Kamrul Hasan Forhad, who allegedly committed suicide, from a room at his house in 88, Purba Goran of Khilgaon.
Shahidul Haque, subinspector of Khilgaon police station, said they recovered the body of Forhad lying on the bed of his room after his family informed police that he had committed suicide at around 1:00am on Wednesday.
Abu Bakar Siddique, father of Forhad, said he saw that the windows and doors of Forhad’s were locked from inside at around 12:00am. He called him but getting no reply he broke open the door and found Forhad hanging from the ceiling fan. Later family members brought down the body and informed police.
Family members claimed that Forhad was an addict.
An unnatural death case was filed.
Transport worker Shohel Talukder was killed and two others were injured in road accident at Kuril Biswa Road early Wednesday.
Saddam Hossain, 19, a pickup driver, who received injury in the accident and got admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said they were repairing the puncture of a tyre of the pickup van they were travelling to go to Dhaka from Tangail at Kuril Biswa Road at around 2:00am on Wednesday.
Suddenly, a bus hit them, leaving the three injured.
Later, Saddam and Sohel were admitted to DMCH where Sohel died at around 3:00am.
Shamim Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Khilkhet police station, said the body was sent to DMCH.
Police could not hold the killer bus or driver.
A case was filed.
