GM Abdulla Al-Rakib of Duronto Rajshahi kept his lead at the Berger Paints 39th National ‘A’ Chess Championship-2013, with 9½ points after the 11th round on Thursday.
Rakib beat IM Abu Sufian Shakil of Access Group in the 11th round. Rakib played with the white pieces and beat Shakil in 64 moves. GM Ziaur Rahman of Dhaka Mohammedan and IM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Bangladesh Ansar are tied in 2nd position with 8½ points each. Zia beat Shafiq Ahmed of Golden
