Members of Airport Armed Police (AAP) arrested two employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on charge of stealing mobile phone sets from passengers’ language early Friday, reports UNB. The law enforcers recovered five stolen mobile phone sets from their possession. The arrested are Md Nur Alam, 32, son of late Nur Muhammad of Sonatala in Bogra and Md Mizanur, 32, son of Nurul Islam of Sonaimuri in Nokhali. They used to work as traffic helpers of the national flag carrier.
AAP sources said the arrested traffic helpers stole the mobile phone sets from the luggage of passengers who came to the airport from Singapore by a Tigerair flight on Thursday night.
AAP members challenged them at about 12:30 am after completion of the unloading of luggage. Later, they recovered the mobile phone sets from beneath their underwear.
They were handed over to Airport Police Station.
