Wife of a RAB official was killed in a road accident at Kamalapur area in the city Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Sanjida Akter Shama, 32, wife of RAB-8 (Barisal) Sub Inspector Abu Sayeed. She was accompanied by her twelve years old daughter Sithi, a Class VI student of Motijheel Ideal School, who also received minor injuries. A bus of Hanif Paribahan ran over Shama while they were going to Kamalapur Railway Station by a rickshaw near Kamalapur BRTC Bus Depot. Later, she was rushed to DMCH where doctors declared her dead. Sanjida and Sithi, residents of AGB Colony, were going to their village home in Sherpur upazila of Bogra to celebrate Eid with their near and dear ones. A case was lodged with Motijheel Police Station in this connection. But none was arrested till filing of the report this noon. The body was kept at DMCH morgue.
