Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman finished in a tie for seventh at the Venetian Macau Open after carding a par 71 in the final round on Sunday.
Siddik finished eight-under-par at the Macau Golf and Country Club, eight strokes behind the winner, Australia’s Scott Hend. The Bangladeshi went into the final round in a tie for second with South African star Ernie Els – four strokes behind overnight leader Hend – but could not keep pace on Sunday as the rest of the leaders posted low scores.
Siddik birdied the 3rd, 15th and 18th holes, and bogeyed the 11th, 14th and 16th to fall out of contention.
India’s Anirban Lahiri finished second at 13-under after a course-record-matching 62 in the final round. Els placed third at 12-under, tied with Filipino Elmer Salvador.
