Finance Minister AMA Muhith has said, Nobel Laureate Prof. Yunus is talking like a terrorist. “He (Dr Yunus) is an envoy of peace but he is now talking like a terror,” the finance minister said after a meeting of the cabinet committee on purchase, held at the conference room of the cabinet division in the secretariat Wednesday. Muhith said that Dr Yunus is now a fulltime politician.
The finance minister informed that the proposed Grameen Bank law is likely to be placed in the current session of the parliament.
“The government is going ahead in its own course on Grameen Bank and the authorities have already completed the task of preparing the rules of the bank,” he said.
Replying to a question, the finance minister apprehended that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is likely to be declined this fiscal.
The minister said that the meeting of the cabinet committee on purchase and the economic affairs is likely to be in the last week of November this year. But, new project will not be allowed, the minister added.
The senior minister claimed that the process of the government purchase was very transparent and nobody can file cases against the authorities concerned after tenure of the government.
