The Bangladesh Archery Federation will send two national teams in the Chinese Taipei on Sunday to take part in the 18th Asian Archery Championship and continental qualifying test of the Youth Olympic Games. Both the tournaments are scheduled to get underway from October 29.
Silver medal winner of the recently concluded Islamic Solidarity Games, Md Imdadul Haque Milon along with Roman Sana, Mohammad Durul Huda and female archer Mathui Pru Marma will participate in the Asian Archery Championship. Md. Anisur Rahman and Nishith Das will accompany the contingent as coaches.
Bangladesh will play in the singles, team and mixed recurve category in the five-day meet. Uttara Bank Limited have agreed to sponsor the team for the Asian Archery Championship.
Meanwhile, a four-member team including team leader Md. Fazlur Rahman Mukul, coach Md. Babul Mia, archers Prenonoy Murang and Hira Moni will participate in the continental qualifiers of the Youth Olympic Games. Mousumi Industries Limited will provide sponsorship money for the team.
